What to pack for your Retreat

Packing List

Clothing
  • Comfortable movement clothes (3–5 outfits)

  • Lightweight layers for warming up and cooling down

  • Long-sleeve shirt

  • Fleece or warm sweater

  • Lightweight rain jacket or shell

  • Comfortable pants/leggings

  • Shorts (optional, depending on preference)

  • Sleepwear

  • Undergarments and socks

  • Sun hat or cap

  • Warm beanie for cool mornings/evenings

  • One comfortable, slightly elevated outfit for closing dinner

 
Footwear
  • Comfortable walking shoes or trail shoes

  • Movement shoes (if your practice requires them)

  • Sandals or slip-on shoes for downtime

  • Extra pair of socks for wet weather

 
Movement & Wellness
  • Yoga mat or movement mat

  • Water bottle

  • Journal and pen

  • Personal props (if desired, some items will be provided): yoga blocks, straps, etc.

 
Outdoor & Weather Protection
  • Sunscreen

  • Sunglasses

  • Lip balm

  • Insect repellent

  • Small daypack for excursions

  • Reusable mug or thermos (optional)

Toiletries & Personal Care
  • Toothbrush and toothpaste

  • Shampoo/conditioner

  • Soap/body wash

  • Medications and supplements

  • Personal hygiene items

  • Any mobility or recovery aids you regularly use

Electronics
  • Phone and charger

  • Portable battery pack (optional)

  • Camera (optional)

 
Optional Items
  • Swimsuit (for cold-water dipping, hot tub, and sauna)

  • Packable beach towel

  • Light blanket or shawl

  • Favorite tea

  • Book for quiet time

  • Binoculars for wildlife viewing

Suggested Note to Participants Attending the Salish Sea Retreat

June in the San Juan Islands offers beautiful long days, fresh ocean air, and variable weather. Please pack layers that allow you to move comfortably indoors and outdoors, and be prepared for sun, wind, and occasional rain. Our goal is to support ease, comfort, and presence throughout the retreat, so bring what helps you feel grounded and well cared for.
